Dru Jolly began painting in 1970, while meeting the challenges of raising her four children as a single mom. She worked fulltime at Itawamba Community Collage teaching a furniture course in cutting, sewing and upholstering furniture for 33 ½ years. Since retiring she paints full time and spends time with her seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Dru’s painting medium is in oil. She enjoys painting animals, landscapes and still life. Her present inspiration comes from pictures she has taken of her mission trips to Honduras, Romania and Africa. She has studied under Jo Hollingsworth, Jo Ann Wood, Kim Pastis and Dot Courson.
